FAQ
As a licensed physical therapist, my goal is to make sure I provide the absolute best possible service for my clients and patients. This is the main reason I decided to open my own practice as a cash pay service. What does cash pay mean? How can I help you? Below are several questions I have received from clients and patients about my practice. If you do not see your questions answered, feel free to contact me using the form on my Home page.

What is a Physical Therapist?According to the American Physical Therapy Association, Physical therapists (PTs) are highly-educated, licensed health care professionals who can help patients reduce pain and improve or restore mobility - in many cases without expensive surgery and often reducing the need for long-term use of prescription medications and their side effects. Physical therapists can teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition so that they will achieve long-term health benefits. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan, using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. In addition, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.

Do you take insurance?Therapist On The Go is a cash based physical therapy practice. This means the paitent pays for the physical therapy services up front. We are an out of network provider, meaning we do not directly accept insurance. However, you can call your insurance company and ask them “what are my out of network physical therapy benefits?” Many insurance companies may reimburse you for all or some of your PT services, especially if you have a PPO (instead of an HMO). We will give you all the information you need to get reimbursed. The traditional insurance model does not allow us to treat the way we feel is best for you or spend the time with you that you deserve. A cash based practice allows us to spend more quality one-on-one time with clients, helping you feel better faster.

Why a cash based PT?Insurance company's can limit a physical therapist's ability to treat a patient on a holistic level by dictating which painful body part can be treated. The cash based model takes away the power of the insurance companies and allows you to receive the care that is necessary, as determined by you and your provider. As a cash based PT, my treatments and appointment times are not dictated by insurance companies. This means better value to the patient and more one-on-one time spent with the clinician getting better, improving your health, and reaching your goals!

Where is your office? My office is wherever you need me to be! Too often the demands of our everyday life, jobs, children, and families can take priority over personal needs. Trying to schedule an appointment at a physical therapy clinic on top of all this can be a challenge. This is why we have decided to come to you. The ability to come to you also means we can evaluate and treat you within the elements that may be causing you difficulty whether it is in your home, the office, the field, or wherever it may be.

Do you take Medicare?Unfortunately, Therapist On The Go does not participate in Medicare. Therefore, we cannot provide services to Medicare patients through Medicare. We are however able to treat patients if you are not using your Medicare benefits.
